Why You Should Bring House Plants Into Your Home
So many of my clients say they will kill a real plant, and I tell them that some plants thrive on neglect! There is something for everyone, I promise! In my home, I have so many…. wait let me count. 23! Plants need love and attention and I think that is why I love them so much. My maternal instincts kick in and I nurture them and get so excited when they grow, but that’s me and you don’t have to be a crazy plant lady to have them in your home.
Indoor plants provide oxygen and clean our air, which here in Bakersfield, we desperately need. Some of the most neglect loving plants like the Snake are at the top of that list!
Placing a plant on an end table next to a lamp is sometimes just enough accessorizing for the space. I still use good fakes for the clients who refuse real, but always encourage them to try. Plants have so many interesting colors, textures and styles, not to mention the gorgeous containers/pots you can plant them in. Plants really give a home a sense of life, just knowing they are living in the space with us feels like home. It is so rewarding when you see new growth and witness them thriving from your care and attention. I place houseplants all over my home, including the kitchen! If you are lucky enough to have a window by your sink, they will thrive in that space. It’s so easy to Google what plants work in the space you want to place them in.
